Aces hope for relief and hitting.

The A's pitching has been a strength for the past several seasons. This year looks to be the same. Tim Hudson (4-0 1.89), Jason Schmidt (4-1 1.80), Carlos Zambrano (3-2 2.58), and in the pen is Isringhausen (0.75 7 sv). The bullpen has been strong but has drawn criticism from the fans and press for not closing out close games or not keeping the A's in close games. Linebrink and Ayala have worked a lot of innings and it has shown as they have been reduced to fewer innings to prevent them from wearing down over the season. The A's called up Seanez and Colome to help take some of the burden off Ayala and Linebrink. Hopefully the pen will settle down and peform in close games.
