The game was won by Oakland with a run in the top of the 9th inning. After an out was recorded, Aramis Ramirez laced a base-hit. Schilling then uncorked a wild pitch. Ramon Hernandez dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Corey Patterson was up next and he was walked intentionally. Jimmy Rollins stepped into the box and doubled scoring the run. Oakland out-hit Arizona for the game, 10 hits to 7. Zambrano got help from Jason Isringhausen who was credited with his 17th save. Schilling took the loss.
