Pitching Living Up To Expectations

Carlos Zambrano and Tim Hudson are leading the A's pitching staff with an impressive start.

In 4 starts, Zambrano is 3-1 with a 1.78 era. Zambrano has also pitched two shutouts. Coming over from the Twins, Zambrano looks like a great acquistion. Tim Hudson 3-1 with a 1.72 era. The bullpen has seen Hitchcock, a veteran who was considering retirement after not receiving any calls from teams during the offseason shine in his lefty specialist role with the A's.

The offense is having problems in the month of April. Giles and White are the only real producers in the lineup. Eric Karros has
provided some pop off the bench against
lefties.
