Karros Hits Clutch Homerun To Save A's

Eric Karros went deep and had 2 RBI at PNC Park as the Oakland A's beat the Arizona club in 10 innings 9 to 8. Both teams were tied at 8 runs apiece after nine innings. Finally, Oakland pulled the game out in the 10th inning. Karros cracked a solo homerun (his 2nd of the season). Oakland managed 12 in their victory. Jason Isringhausen(2-0) allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Matt Mantei(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. 'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Will Oast sighed. 'That win feels like a tall, cool drink of water after spending far too much time in the desert lately.'
