Brian Lawrence cracked a homer and had 3 RBI and he allowed 3 hits while blanking Oakland as the Arizona ballclub beat the Oakland A's by a score of 8 to 0. Lawrence(3-2) was simply too much for the Oakland batters. He allowed just 3 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings improving his ERA from 4.54 to 3.59. Arizona rapped out 14 hits for the night. Brandon Webb(2-2) took the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
